What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a one to one working relationship based upon the cultivation of mutual respect and trust. As a mentor, I act as a 'guide', supporting and encouraging you, the mentee. This support can help you to find the direction and focus you are seeking and find the energy to engage with and realise your wishes, for example, in terms of changing job, or making changes in an aspect of your personal life. Mentoring allows you to explore new ideas and strategies in a held, positive, encouraging and non judgemental context.
When might mentoring help?
Mentoring offers you the opportunity for powerful and visible personal development, particularly during times of transition. It gives you the chance to look more closely at yourself, where you are, opportunities available to you and the conditions you wish to create in your life. Mentoring can support you on your path of awareness, so that you make fuller and better-informed choices, providing direction and shape to your life.
How does the mentoring process work?
Initially, I suggest an first meeting so you can decide that you wish to work with me and I can make sure I'm the best person to mentor you at present. During mentoring we will work together to identify where you are now and where you would like to be.
My previous mentoring experience
I have experience of working in a mentoring role in a wide range of contexts with company directors, start up entrepreneurs, those seeking a return to work after unemployment, university students and women in a spiritual context.
