Creating positive conditions for women at work
Introducing women@work
'Women at work' focuses specifically upon mentoring and counselling for women in the workplace. I work with women from a range of different organisational contexts, from working for charities, through to starting or running and owning their own businesses. Women I work with are often facing a major transition, decision-making process, change in role or seeking support with personal development. They appreciate the combination of my own business experience and mentoring and therapeutic skills.
Women@work clients:
You may be a 'woman at work' in one of the following contexts: launching your own business
taking over your family business
facing conflict at work
deciding when and whether to start a family and the effect on your career
returning to work after a family
facing a major work transition e.g. a new job, redundancy, retirement
developing new direction in your career, with greater meaning
wishing to develop new work skills to enhance the way you do your job and organise your time
My approach
I am particularly keen to work in a tailor made and collaborative way to design support that works for you, in your particular circumstances. It might mean that you call me in for a one off session to look at your priorities for yourself, your family and your business. You might ask for a monthly meeting of a couple of hours, to help you with specific skills development. Or you might wish to follow the more traditional counselling model of weekly sessions over a period of weeks to help you with a particular personal issue which is affecting you at work. Or you might not know what 'shape' of support you require, yet you know you would like to talk to someone. In which case, please feel free to contact me if you think an initial conversation may be useful.
